Full text Web sources

A growing part of the Internet consists of sites that provide copies of the full texts of documents, similar to printed copies, but in electronic form for viewing from a computer terminal. Unfortunately, most of these sites require a subscription, but a few sites, such as the following, provide free copies of publications.

FIND ARTICLES, a free article search service; brief articles are provided in full text; payment is required for access to the full text of some articles

HighWire provides online access to articles in over 4,500 medical journals and over 830,000 free full text articles in nearly 800 other journals.

Practical Assessment, Research and Evaluation (PARE), this is a peer-reviewed electronic journal with articles on research methodology, evaluation design and methods, and other topics of interest to research students

Social Science Resource Network (SSRN) provides abstracts to scholarly working papers and copies of their texts
